How do you backstab FOSS? You can't, there is no one to kill. The .NET Micro Framework has not been very successful, and yet it is key to the long term success of the .NET Framework as a one size fits all programming model for high level programming that still needs some performance and system-level ties. Soon we will be in a world where people want their thermostat to read back their tweets and browse Google Wave, so making the thermostat run on an 8051 with a couple KB of assembler to run it just won't cut it anymore. Also, even now most "smart devices" are reaching pricepoints where paying for a license per unit is just not a practical model anymore. MS could do better making money selling SDKs or services with lump sum fees than not making anything off that old fashioned model. So no, Microsoft's heart is hardly bleeding in this move, they are doing it in their self interest. But its a good thing for the FOSS community.
wow. that's awesome.

♫ MORTAL KOMBAT!! Doo doo doo doo (record stratch, music stops) ♫*****!.
I registered specific website names with Go Daddy some time ago supposedly for a 2 year period. One requirement was to "update" my information every 6 months or so which I did. I had one particular name that was VERY marketable. Well BEFORE the 2 year period I received an e-mail from someone who had purchased MY .com. I ignored the e-mail and made NO offer to repurchase what I "thought" I owned.Well BEFORE the expiration of the 2 year time period a transaction appeared on my credit card statement indicating that Go Daddy had made a charge to my account to renew the few other web sites I "supposedly" owned and had ADDED numerous other site names I never purchased and would NEVER have had an interest in. Instead of a small amount of money required to renew tha names I actually contracted for, they had charged a sum I did NOT owe that was OUTRAGEOUS. The amount of money they took that they were NOT entitled to would have been a FELONY in any state in the country!I immediately contacted Go Daddy and over a period of 10 days or so obtained a FULL refund and ended my association with them FOR ALL TIME!!! They realized, I'm sure, that there was NO WAY they could defend what they had done (after all, NO WAY could they prove I owed money for sites that I never purchased). I warn everyone who wishes to set up a website what happened to me with Go Daddy. I have no clue what someone would do to protect their interest (such as a Copyright or whatever) and manage to keep control of a prosperous website when they seem to be so easily misapproppriated.I will consult with a lawyer to insure that I protect my interest in the future. My advice to everyone...be careful...TRUST NO ONE!! And, make absolutely sure you SAVE and maintained records of EVERY TRANSACTION to the END OF TIME!!!

This is Health insurance. You sick mofo's gotta read the fine print. As soon as you show up sick, everything is canceled. You still owe us your premiums, though, and we'll sue your ass to get it. Now shut up and vote Republican. Gays might be getting married somewhere. Keep your priorities straight.

Company's state that they have to ship all of the labor jobs overseas in order to stay competitive, but in reality they are only doing it to make a higher profit margin. One would think that the computers that are being made and assembled for pennies on the dollar overseas should make them more affordable here in the US, but that isn't the case because company's see the possibility to raise their overall profit and decide to stick it to the consumer so they can line their pockets with even more cash.Company's couldn't give two ***** about customers these days, it's all about the greed.Anyone remember the last time that they could buy a product and _not_ have to keep the receipt for when the product breaks and they have to take it back to get fixed/replaced? Long gone are the days of quality production, I think quantity production is definately here to stay.
