target practice fail
"Is Obama the devil" Seriously, thats what he asked Dobbs??? That's like people claiming Bush was the anti-christ. Neither Obama or Bush are evil: disagree with any of their policies in a logical, reasonable way... don't be f'in retarded and bring up something like that. That is not even advocacy journalism, that is just partisan close-minded BS.

“It was an attempt to provide a 'human scale' idea of how fast 24 million km/sec (14 million mph) is ... something going that fast would get from the Earth to the Moon in 'one minute flat'.

No... If you don't remember this, let me remind you...ATT -> broken up into smaller units for anti-trustCustomer service for each is fractured accordingly.Bellsouth (one of those units) -> Develops a nation-leading wireless network that is separate from its land-based businessBellsouth -> buys ATT wireless network to merge with its own as ATT wireless is failing miserablycall centers are then merged for profitabilityATT -> buys bellsouth back because it's doing so well and keeps it a separate entity to not break its anti-trust agreementsBellsouth Wireless (Cingular) maintains its autonomy due to profitabilityTherefore ATT has no control over Cingular's actions or tech support. |

"Tastes like home" makes more sense (as an ad awareness slogan) to me than "Tastes like homogenized". Either way they need a better catchphrase than "Tastes like *****".Although from your spelling it looks like you may have written the original slogan, so I understand why you are so upset that it's on Digg as an example of something stupid to make people laugh.

Shame that a man with such vision and ambition can be admonished, and Sarah Palin praised.

If Micro$oft follows through with this, and pushes the full .NET framework out as Open Source, this is a HUGE announcement.MS is notorious for crap software, but .NET -- at least for web development -- is one bright spot. Visual Studio 2008 is a great IDE, and debugging .NET code is far easier than any other web technology I've ever worked with (PHP, ASP, ColdFusion, Perl, Java, etc.).I'd like it to produce a bit cleaner HTML, but otherwise it's brilliant.
