Her eye make up is the "Eye of Horus" to match the Egyptian Ankh she wore, most of the time she just wore a black shirt and Jeans which doesn't really scream goth, but the hair I will give you though. Death/Dream look like they went to Robert Smith's school for beauty. Even if she did wear head to toe black leather, you should know more than anyone else that doesn't make you Goth. Maybe she could have been stroke material for little Gothites before the internet was around but I don't see the connection any further than that. (yes I know that seems silly because she is Death after all but if you read the books it was more her job then who she was.)

It has to do with the rotation structure. The way the Army does it, whole units are deployed together for a year at a time. There is very little in the way of cool down between deployments. By the time they get reacquainted with their family and return to some semblance of normalcy, it's time to go back.The Air Force (at least back in '05) had a much different structure that was more expensive but far better on the people.
