I think the thing i dislike most about these artists who 'speed paint' is the number of defenders they have. It actually doesn't take that much skill to copy a picture so that it can look like the original. However, it takes a lot of skill to copy a picture properly, (.ie not using the eyedropper to find colours). Real skin tones have tons of colour variations, a lot more yellows and purples and pastel colours than what can be perceived by an unartistic eye. This artist has really poor draftmanship ability, just from the way he draws contours. There are tons of artists who do photorealistic really well. I think this one is just good at self promoting more than anything else.
New York City is just a giant amusement park and I have serious doubts about its future. There has GOT to be a serious brain drain in the place because it seems like all the college grads of real substance are going to work on Long Island or in the new tech companies upstate along the Hudson Valley where you get the same pay but have like 1/10th the cost of living.

Dont know why someone dugg you down. this is a real issue for OSX and Linux. Here is what Adobe has to say about it..."In Flash Player 10.1, H.264 hardware acceleration is not supported under Linux and Mac OS. Linux currently lacks a developed standard API that supports H.264 hardware video decoding, and Mac OS X does not expose access to the required APIs. We will continue to evaluate adding the feature to Linux and Mac OS in future releases."So essentially, Linux devs are slacking on H.264 API and Apple does not opening their API for Adobe to develop it..

As for the plane grave yard.. those are there because of the need of spares and also because they show proof they these aircraft have been decommission and no longer are part of any military build up. Old tire's are used for road and roofing.. As for the old computers etc.. I can make no clams as to what happens to them.I just set old tv's and computers on the street.. they are gone in hours.. I have no Ideawhat happens to them but as long as I don't have to pay to dispose of them I'm happy.
