That's pretty cool. As someone not blessed with artistic skills I can always appreciate someone who is.
I was thinking the same thing. I mean...it wasn't as drastic as the change the article suggested, but still, it's more change than a lot of heroes get, and it was pretty recent.

I wonder what material his cloak and hood is made out of..
All they needed to do was add those little legs to the "X" in "Xmas."!

I once translated a chapter.Best thing I did in my life.?
Trade with China exploded under Bush - our deficit with China went from ~ $30 billion to over $250 billion, with American companies fleeing the US to set up shop in China, all with tacit approval from Bush's administration. China's leaders loved Bush - he was the best President they could have wanted; go look it up yourself.OTOH, Obama has brought up the thorny issue of freedom of speech, China's monetary policy of keeping the RMB pegged to the dollar in order to benefit China's export driven economy, and his administration, unlike the previous one, has begun investigating China's unfair trading practices - dumping tiresand steel below cost, their subsidization of industries, etc... Whether or not it's the right thing is another question, but to say that Obama is more eager than Bush for better relations with China belies the facts. |

I'm not so sure this statement is true in a large enough market. All China could do is buy more USD, sell more USD, or do nothing. Each of these three choices has a different outcome for us and China gets to chose which of these it will pick. I guess what ruins that statement is that the bank has the option of making the billion they owe you worthless by simply producing a trillion dollars and making that billion insignificant.

DAT machines where way ahead of their time and a huge player in the advent of 90's dance music. You could go straight from your bedroom studio to the cutting room with a recording that sounded exactly as you made it, whereas before that you needed a big old two track machine and a place to store all of those expensive reels. DAT recordings still sound exceptionally good today, some people swear by them. They where only superseded in recording studios by the recordable CD, suddenly it was like, "What the ***** do you mean we can make our own CD's? " Never underestimate the importance of the lowly DAT tape in the grand scheme of studio recording. |
