In a time of need, I can never remember good quotes from the Big Band Theory. I guess this wasn't exactly the best episode though.

“The solution to coercive control of a market should be decentralization and anti-trust action, and certain regulations on problem areas, not having the government start a regime of regulations to try and run the industry themselves. Many of the problems we have are becuase the regulators took too big of a chunk and were themselves bought, which would then turn the well meaning regulation of a company into protection for them.

Rent a flat above a shop, cut your hair and get a job.Smoke some fags and play some pool, pretend you never went to school. But still you'll never get it right, cos when you're laid in bed at night, watching roaches climb the wall,if you call your Dad he could stop it all..
New Zealand has the least corrupt government, yet another positive thing I've heard about this country. It seems like there's nothing wrong with this place - great standard of living, awesome geography, huge biological diversity, Middle Earth...can anyone tell me something that's wrong with these islands?!

I'm so sick of idiots talking about the price of exploration. Knowledge cannot have a price tag affixed to it. Science is what gave you the ability to read these words right now, just keep that in mind. I would much rather spend an assload of money on checking out the planets in our Solar System than a network of satellites dedicated to telling us what Britney Spears had for breakfast this morning.?
I've wondered what this guy wondered myself, if someone could pick up on a language like Klingon or one of the dead languages from birth, when our speech centers are developing. This guy is a language expert, so I don't see him having any trouble teaching his child other languages, especially since the child is still in his formative years. |

Nope, it's not fake. It's Canadian. Here in Canada, we have this nifty stuff called Homogenized milk. If you remember your chemistry days, a homogeneous mixture is one in which the constituent particles are distributed uniformly throughout the solution.Milk can be considered to be almost like an oil and water solution, and will separate into its components if left alone. Homogenized milk gets around this by running the milk through little tubes during or after the pasteurization process. The fat molecules end up being broken up / reduced in size and are distributed more uniformly throughout the mixture. You end up with milk that doesn't separate into layers. Here in Canada, it's often abbreviated as "***** milk" on carton / bag labels. But nobody actually *asks* for ***** milk at a store. They'll ask for 1%, 2%, whole milk, etc.Because actually asking for "***** milk" would sound ... gay. |
